B.Sc. Civil Engineering

What is Civil Engineering?
Civil engineering deals with the planning, management, and execution of buildings, infrastructures, and systems while interacting between them for the benefit of the needs of individuals, the public, and industry. For this purpose, civil engineers must know the fundamental aspects of buildings and infrastructures, such as materials, soil and foundation, mechanics of structures and flows, measurement, and mapping. Accordingly, the curriculum includes a broad spectrum of fundamental, theoretical, and technological subjects alongside computers, advanced computing means, and dedicated software. The college’s civil engineering program is unique, with an overall view of sustainable civil engineering, which includes building engineering while referring to sustainable and environmental aspects.
The duration of the program is four years, including specialization in one of two tracks: Structural Engineering- Water, Infrastructure, and Environment
The first and second Years include fundamental studies and introductions:
Exact ones – Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry
Engineering – an introduction to engineering mechanics and fluid mechanics
Computers – programming in Python and numerical and symbolic languages and dedicated software for the field of specialization
Systems analysis and engineering graphics with interaction for project design
The third and fourth years include the specialization tracks and require the completion of an extended final project.
As graduates of the program, you will have a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, recognized for registration in the register of engineers in several sections in the civil engineering branch. In addition, you can register for the sector in your field of specialization. To obtain a license in the field of structural engineering, one must pass the exams of the registrar of engineers in this field.
