Engineering, the Innovative Profession<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Engineering is a creative profession that has developed quickly and provides a promising future for those who have entered the profession for many years.\u00a0 <\/span>Almost all activities in modern society- automotive, banking, medicine, aviation, energy, communications and electronics \u2013 are today engineering and technology-intensive.<\/span><\/p>\n

Israel Is Second Only To Silicon Valley<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Israel\u2019s best natural resource is its human capital, serving as one of the most significant breeding grounds for technology start-ups and innovation, second only to Silicon Valley. <\/span>As such, increasingly more international technology giants are acquiring Israeli start-ups and establishing R &D offices in Israel. (Think Google, Facebook, and others.)<\/span><\/p>\n

Due to Israel\u2019s fast-paced innovation environment, engineers are a necessary component of the local workforce, yet there is a severe shortage. It is estimated that Israel will have a lack of roughly 7,000 engineers within the next decade. <\/span>Azrieli Jerusalem provides its students with a first-class education and cutting-edge training that allows them to easily integrate into the workforce as engineers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Azrieli’s High-Tech\u00a0 Industry Collaborations<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

To meet this goal, Azrieli partners with high-tech companies, such as Teva Pharmaceuticals Ltd., Intel, Levitra pharmacy-generic.com, Technion, AVX, Rafa, Micron, NDS, and Tower Semiconductor, among others. <\/span><\/p>\n

Azrieli’s Executive and Academic Committees include industry leaders, and this close connection with the industry expresses itself through:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Development of relevant courses of study per industry needs<\/span>
\n\u2022 Industry leaders serving as the college\u2019s lay leadership<\/span>
\n\u2022 Senior industry engineers teaching at the college<\/span>
\n\u2022 Teaching labs conducted in actual industry plants<\/span>
\n\u2022 Students\u2019 final projects done in cooperation with industry<\/span>
\n\u2022 Study programs offered for the industry workforce<\/span>
\n\u2022 Industry providing sponsorship of excellent students<\/span><\/p>\n

Our collaboration with high-tech leaders ensures and answers the industry\u2019s urgent need for local highly qualified engineers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Training at Grass-Roots Level<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Rather than have engineers commute to Jerusalem from other parts of the country, Azrieli trains students, most of whom are from the region, to serve as quality engineers, feeding directly into the high-tech workforce, thus encouraging and enabling these trained professionals to remain in the city. <\/span>Alums become leaders of Jerusalem\u2019s high-tech sector, promoting growth and prosperity for themselves, their families, the industry, and the city.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
