A comprehensive Final Engineering Project that serves to challenge students – engineers-to-be – to integrate the scientific, engineering and technological knowledge acquired during their studies to solve a concrete problem, or conduct research into a particular question or problem, under conditions as similar as possible to those experienced by a materials engineer in industry or in research, and requires students to present their findings in a report, thesis, that meets accepted professional engineering standards.
